Any owner of a T2 split screen that uses their phone for sat-nav, music or as a speedo will know the frustration that is having nowhere to put it…  Trying to balance it on the dash in front of you, or laying on your seats meaning you have to take your eyes off the road to view it. Existing phone holders aren’t very good: suction cups are big and obstruct your vision through an already small windscreen and the cradle type drop your phone at the first sight of a bump in the road.

This is my solution. It replaces the ash tray in your split screen dash ensuring it is clearly visible to driver and passenger. It is capable of holding phones up to 13mm thick or 16mm for the large groove version. It is shipped as a kit that screws together (screws provided) but requires no modifications to the vehicle; simply pop out the ashtray and follow the instructions HERE. It’s not permanent and can be easily removed.

The back clip is sprung to accommodate different phone widths up to 90mm. It’s not limited on length. To use, insert the top of the phone and lift the sprung clip then drop the bottom edge of the phone into the slot.

There is also a hole in the phone holder base so that you can feed a cable up behind the dash and through the holder to power your phone or stream music.

The phone holder is CNC machined from 6082 aluminium with toolpaths left visible for a beautiful finish that will look great right in the centre of your dash, whilst being tough enough to tolerate life in your bus. The clip has a radius on the inside to prevent scratching to your phone screen during installation and there is a non-slip strip in the groove to keep your phone extra secure.

Please note, this item will get hot if left in direct sun. Please consider covering it when not in use and take care to let it cool before inserting your phone.
