Metrix NDT Limited was formed in 2013 to offer world class X-ray components, systems and design expertise to the industrial and manufacturing sectors. Their ‘EZ Access’ X-ray chamber allows universities and research organisations to acquire a versatile, relocatable, safe X-ray facility quickly and economically.

Metrix contracted DeftCAD to manufacture, assemble and supply two EZ Access X-ray chambers plus additional bespoke CNC machined equipment for use inside the chambers. The build took in tube laser cutting, sheet metal, powder coating, CNC machining, anodising, lead lining of various parts for radiological safety, assembly and delivery. Most of this was completed in-house by DeftCAD.
We assisted in the design of the product before it was ready for production. Then the entire build was completed by us in house. With a vast engineering background and manufacturing connections throughout Lincolnshire we where able to complete such a big project, meaning that we could do the job the right way for our client.
